Privacy Policy Applicable to Application, Recruitment and Selection Processes

This Privacy Policy describes the Mercan Properties Group's commitment to data privacy protection and how we treat the personal data we receive in regards to the use of the www.teamtailor.com platform (hereinafter the “Platform”).

If you create a personal profile on the Platform, you should be aware of its privacy policy.

For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, Personal Data is information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person.

The Platform is designed to publicize the job opportunities that exist at any given time in the different companies of the Mercan Properties Group, as well as to streamline the management of the applications received and the recruitment process.

Therefore, anyone who submits their application to be analyzed by a Mercan Properties Group company, since they are disclosing their personal data, will be considered a data subject for the purposes of this Privacy Policy.

I. Responsible for Treatment

Each Mercan Properties Group company will be responsible for processing the Personal Data to which the vacancies relate.

II. Purposes of processing Personal Data

Candidates' Personal Data is collected and processed for the following purposes:

• Application management - Collecting, organizing and storing spontaneous applications submitted by candidates. Consult the database of spontaneous applications. Associating a spontaneous application with a specific job opportunity.
• Managing the recruitment and selection process - Collecting the candidate's data and details; assessing the candidate's data; carrying out interviews; assessing the reports of the interviews carried out; selecting the candidate, if appropriate. Contacting the candidate and/or informing them of the status of the recruitment process.

III. Categories of Personal Data processed

To pursue the purposes indicated in II, it will be necessary to collect and process the following categories of data:

• Identification data (such as name)
• Contact details (such as e-mail and telephone contact)
• Curriculum data (by analyzing the Curriculum)
• Candidate profile data (such as any joint motivation letters and interview reports)
• Candidate's portfolio

The personal data identified above may be processed directly at the request of candidates or may be collected from candidates by recruitment companies contracted to manage and publicize recruitment processes or by Mercan Properties Group employees who indicate the candidate.

IV. Legal basis

Candidates' Personal Data will be processed based on the candidates' consent and the legitimate interest of the companies.

V. How long do we keep Personal Data?

The Personal Data collected for the purposes indicated in this Privacy Policy will be preserved for a maximum period of 24 months.

Once the maximum retention period for your Personal Data has been reached, you will be notified to keep your data active if you wish, and if you do not wish to do so, it will be deleted within a maximum period of 3 months unless the retention is necessary for the purposes of legal declaration, exercise or defense of a right in legal proceedings by any Mercan Properties Group company, in which case the data may be retained for a longer period.

VI. Sharing Personal Data

Personal Data may be disclosed and shared with other Mercan Properties Group companies for the purposes of recruitment processes, subject to your consent at the time of application.

VII. Rights of Data Subjects

As part of the Data Subjects' rights, they may, at any time and free of charge, exercise their rights of access, restriction, deletion, opposition, limitation and portability of this data, via the email address dpo@mercanproperties.pt or by registered letter to the address Rua de Oliveira Monteiro 289 -2ª 4050-443 Porto Portugal.

Any complaints should be addressed to the address indicated or to the supervisory body: the National Data Protection Commission.
